About Us

The International Catholic Lawyers Society is a world-wide society of lawyers, jurists, and others interested in:

  • creating a forum where Catholic lawyers and jurists can integrate their faith and beliefs with their individual vocations
  • making the Catholic legal tradition culturally present in our time,
  • educating lawyers in Church teachings, canon law, and natural law concepts and their relationship to the civil law, and supporting scholarship, research, and publication of works on Catholic issues relevant to the law.

The Society was founded in June of 2004, and is headquartered at The Catholic University of America in close association with the University’s Columbus School of Law and School of Canon Law.
